Consider a 3 digit number xyz.
xyz < 900; 1 more than multiple of 10 implies 3-digit number
to be xy1; Greatest number to be 9 implies centre digit as 9
implies x91. x + 9 +1 = 12, implies that x must be 2.

Therefore, 291 satisfies the above conditions.
