I'll take my chances in the house...if its 100 years old..it probably has a basement and some really heavy furniture or pipe wells to hold on too.
Screw the mobile home! Those suck!

A tornado, even a F1, can send a mobile home flying like a airplane. Try to get to that house, and into the basement. If lacking a basement, go to the lowest floor of the house, in a room with no window and also putting as many walls between the outside and yourself.

That totally depends on the house and the situation, but generally it's not as safe to be in a mobilehome than any house. Think of this. The house has been standing for how many years? Through all the weather that happened in 100 years the house is still standing. And how long will that mobile home last?
I think I would rather be in a house than a mobilehome if a tornado came through the neighborhood, but I could be wrong, because people are aware of this, and anchor the mobilehomes down, and they are more sturdy these days. But my mobilehome? Don't make me laugh! I would rather be in my car.

If the house is 100 years old then it has probably survived a few tornados. I would definately go with the house.

you have like a 100 times better chance to survive in any old house, the tornado would just pick the mobile home up and throw you across your town

An old house. For some reason tornado's are attracted to mobile homes and likes to tear them down.

the house of course. IN the basement if you have one. if not then get into the bathroom. but of course a house because it has a foundation attached to the ground and cant move or fly around as easily as a mobile home.

Always a house. Mobile homes are shredded into toothpicks in a tornado.

You're in trouble, either way, if its a direct hit. But the house is definately stronger and will protect you from flying objects better. Mobile homes are likely to become projectiles themselves, and the landing is never pretty.
