Hormones cause it. You may want too try taking ginger as long as you don't have gall bladder problems. Adding dry ginger, up to a teaspoon, to a cup of tea or hot water (with lemon and honey?), can help a sick stomach.
I take it all the time for upset stomach. At 51, I still get motion sickness! Ginger candy or cookies, or ginger ale are somewhat effective. The best thing is standardized ginger in capsules. The next best is in tea.
When I had morning sickness, I would eat dry crackers, my main stay was akmak, but dry, non-greasy crackers did help some. No coffee.
Good luck!

You get morning sickness due to the increase in the hormone called HCG. The same hormone the pregnancy tests look for when testing for pregnancy. The HCG levels usually decrease and level off around the 12 week. That's why most people are feeling pretty good by then. Good luck and God Bless!

Your body is trying to adjust to all of the hormones. Not all woman go through it, and then there are others who suffer their whole pregnancy. I'm pregnant with a little boy and I was sick for 5 months straight, allll day everyday. Ugh thank god that's over! :)

no not every pregnant woman has morning sickness. i didnt with my boys but with my daughter it was hell. you get it because your body is trying to get used to the baby inside you, and it goes through a lot of cahnges. hormones change and your sences get a lot stronger so some things that you used t love can make you throw up and the things you hated you now crave.
