A conversation between two friends of the same or opposite gender. If the same, it could take place in a restroom or locker room.

If the opposite, at Starbucks or somewhere appropriate.

It all depends on the intimacy level that you are comfortable with.

Do you have a tape recorder?

Then sit down and talk back and forth with yourself basing the responses of the "other voice" on someone you know. The thing is don't go over the top...keep it credible and appropriate to your age and don't go for something too emotional.

Two girls in a girls bathroom (highschool or middle school level)...one of them pulls the other inside because she just HAS to tell her best friend something. And guess what? Her friend just HAS to tell her something too.

They could both like the same guy and are just telling each other about it for the first time. Only the catch is that, one of them has a note (insert prop) from the guy in question asking her to go out with him.

Ahh, now we have in the space of a few short moments and words, a genuine conflict. And don't go extreme with the ending as in it works out just dandy or they both stop being friends. The key thing about conflict in drama is about how the characters "work out" their conflict.

2-3 pages shouldn't be too hard to pull off, in a pinch you could even improv it.

If you need more help msg me

With no real offense meant, I have to ask this question. Is your Drama class a required class, or an elective?

If it happens to be an elective, didn't you think that part of the tasking might include something like this?

I have a suggestion. I assume you are young, and have friends, even outside of Drama class. I further assume you have conversations with them, regarding many situations that may occur on a daily, changing basis.

Create, in the form of a script,,, 2 or 3 pages, of one of those conversations,,, even if it's totally fictional. Certainly it can be confrontational, involve conflict, rumor, relationship issues, shopping choices, jealousy, fear, anger, joy, hugging, etc. etc. etc.

Write a script about going on the internet to find help writing a script. You could end up finding your true love who you never realized was in your class all along. Or you could find a stalker who's been monitoring your e-mail looking for an opening to getcha! Or you could get sucked into the internet and have a find a way out.

Write what you know, don't try to make up a dialouge between two people discussing the atom. Remember an argument you had with a parent, significant other, or brother or sister. Politics, room decorating, driving a car... I believe if you pick an argument or discussion you had with some one you know you can use it to make a realistic and easy to believe scene.
