I have a 5 day old newborn baby. I was wondering, how many of you dropped your baby or had your baby roll off of something? Did you go straight to the hospital or see what the baby done? My father said he dropped me when I was younger and just watched me for an hour to make sure that I was fine instead of going to the hospital, so I was just wondering. O and by the way I had a beautiful baby boy named Ethan Wyatt and he weighed 8lbs 3 1/2 oz and was 20 inches long. :)

congrats on the baby!!!!!!!!! and on the whole baby droping thing....it all depends onhow hard the baby falls and how high. with an infant i would call teh doctor first and see what he suggests and then go from there.

I pray U didn't drop Ethan? If u did at such an early age I would run not walk to the nearest emergency room. The baby could develope some sort of head trauma after the fall and u could face criminal charges for putting it off so long. I say as soon as u drop a child on their head or they roll over onto their head they should be checked out for peace of mind, YOURS!!!!!!

I have not had my baby yet, but I fell out of a grocery cart when I was a baby and I was taken to the hospital. My mother-in-law turned away for a second and her son rolled off of the counter after a bath and they did what your dad did, they just made sure he was okay. Accidents happen and the babies are okay :) Congrats on the little one! I'm due in March :)

Did you drop your baby? I'm just curious why you're asking. With a 5 day old baby I would definately go to the Dr. Knowing me, I would probably go to the hospital with any baby, any age, if they were dropped.

If I dropped my baby I would take them to the doctors the next day or that day if possible. Some damadges can occur and not be noticable at such a young age. The retinas could be damadged, there could be internal problem..the baby could have a concussion,you just never know.

I think every baby gets dropped or rolls off of something but be careful girl! 5 days is very young! If you drop the baby this early or he rolls off of something I would call his pediatrician even if its at night they can be paged. Congratulations!

congrat!!! I bet he is adorable! Well, your spelling is great and your paragraph makes since, I think you turned out fine! I would probably go to the hospital if I dropped my newborn (I have hard wood floors). But then again, when my cat was a kitten, my ex-boyfriend stepped on him, and he came out fine (except now he hates feet).

i have never dropped my son or let him roll off of anything, if it did happen i would take him straight to the hospital, because a baby can not tell you if they are hurting. congratulations on your baby

JUST BE VERY CAREFUL WITH YOUR BABY, ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN AND SOME DON'T END HAPPY. SO TAKE CARE OF YOU SON.
