Aren't you thankful that women now have rights and are not forced to stay in abusive relationships? Do you know what they used to do with babies who were born disabled 100 years ago? Is it true that they used to just not feed them until they passed? Aren't you thankful our society does not allow things like that to happen any more? Aren't you thankful that the govenmental system we have is making society better for everyone?

It is actually not the governmental system that is making these changes happen...it is a constant evolution of the peoples desires that is causing this to happen.

Aren't you sad that the most modern governments in the world seem to be shying away from this normal evolution and gearing more towards keeping things as they used to be or how we assume them to be because it is easier and placates those with money and most likely to vote????

The scariest thing is now that we know better, we still do horrible things. We judge people for the color of their skin or their sexual preference....We would rather spend $40.00 a month paying off a big screen TV on our credit cards than sponsor a third world orphan...We appreciate what is being done to the world by humans is destroying it, but we need our AC.....at least it we were more innocent when the devil was doing it....

Yes... but then almost immediately afterwards, I think about how much more we have left to do.

Civil rights and the general attitude toward one another has changed dramatically since then! I remember little things my grandparents would say that made me cringe.
