Right ... when it stops growing. I have ducks and they mow the grass. When I had a choice on the matter I would be sure the grass was not short late in the season, a couple of inches high at least, so it would make it through the winter. Now guineas eat the ticks and ducks mow the lawn.

I think it depends where you live, because it's different depending on the climate. I live in Michigan and we often don't stop cutting the grass until late October. If it's a warm fall, sometimes once in November.

I live in Texas, and the grass grows best in the dead of winter. It hardly ever freezes here, so I have to mow all year around!

depends on the area you live in . Here in the Midwest i had just cut my lawn for the last time, last weekend . It was well in the mid 50's and i had to get also the leafes mulched .now we had frost and this will end the cutting season for me.
