My doctor told me thin people usually gain more weight during pregnancy than bigger people. I found this to be true because my friend and I were due at the same time and I'm a thin person she is not so thin I gained 40 lbs with my pregnancy (lost it all) and she only gained 14 lbs. I'm assuming you are Little overweight sense you didn't lose the weight the last time. Plus the road has already been paved so your body knows whats going on and is still in a little bit of pregnancy shape. Congratulations on your new addition!

This is my first pregnancy and I was already a bit overweight when I got pregnant so my doctors told me that I should only gain about 15 pounds, how much were you told you should gain? I am 7 months pregnant now and I have only gained 8 pounds, I am doinf really good, the doctor told me the less weight I gain the better it will be for the baby and for me, and plus you don't want to gain too much, as long as your baby appears healthy at your appointment you should be fine. I have heard of some women not gaining any weight at all.

gaining 25-35lbs is totally healthy in pregnant women. It is strange that you at least didn't lose some of the weight. So if you are 6 MOs. and you've gained 6lbs so far, you are up 30lbs. You will probably end up gaining up to 50 with the 1st and second combined. eating nomally has many definitions. Try eating breakfast that contains lots of fiber, snack on fruits and veggies, get your protein and dinner should be the smallest meal of the day. You shouldn't eat past 7 or 7:30. I just don't like when women become overweight after having children and blame it on the pregnancy, when it has all to do with their eating habits.

From my understanding you gain more weight with a girl than a boy.. I gained weight like crazy with my Daughter.. When I got pregnant with my son.. I gained maybe 11 lbs. I wouldn't be to concerned.

weight gain has nothing to do with the sex of the baby, neither does how high or low you carry it,
I know cause I proved both wrong,
I only gained 25lbs with my first (girl) and over 40 with my second (boy) the odd thing is with my first I ate everything sweet I could find and with my second I lived on lettuce and italian dressing.
You could be burning the extra fat from the first one, by your body using it now. As long as your doc is saying everything is fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
