How long does an oscar usually live?

1-2 years maybe more..... It depends on water quality, water temp, and how well you do at aqurium keeping....

Don't know about an Oscar, but there's a big goldfish in an ornamental pond where I work that's been in there for 20 years. It was already big when I started there in 1985, so he could easily be 30 years old. I would expect Oscars to live a long time too.

An Oscar has the potential to live over 10 years, but rarely see this in aquariums as they are rarely kept in appropriate conditions to do so.
