there are many uses for proteins.

Here are a few of them.

In a cell's phospholipid bilayer membrane, it is semi-permeable so there are channel proteins for unsuitably charged particles or particles too large to fit through the selectively permeable membrane.

On the cell membrane, there are also marker proteins that tell the body what type of cell it is. For example, blood types.

A blood has a certian protein type,
B blood has antoehr protein type,
AB has both proteins of A and B
O has no proteins.

Proteins are also synthesized from DNA to help the cell's function.

enzymes are proteins to digest other proteins, For example, you create lactase when you consume lactose.
