The Dark Ages was pretty much a European thing. There were lots of other places in the world that had no such thing.

It must be.....because "Dark Age" is the term relatively in use for entire global definition......I doubt whether it is sustainable for a particular continent or zone.....However, it you were more specific and clear in your question, I am sure you would have more studious answer than this one.
