good question. dressing girlie can be great. but a prissy attitude is a big turn off. i like my girls balanced - i want them to go play with me in the wild, but clean up good for a night on the town. if shes sweet and smart, then the girlie thing is fine, thats just who she is. but if shes high-maintenance (and they never think they are!) and prissy, then i wont touch her. ill mock her if she gets annoying, and make her look stupid so she doenst waste my class time with her inane remarks

My niece is 9 and is a little over weight and gets called a girly girl not because of what she wears but because of what she likes. She likes girl things and they make fun of her because of it. Kids are cruel and have to find something to make fun of someone. She is hurt by them calling her fat names, but she doesn't care about being called a girly girl. She likes it.
If others don't want to be someones friend just because of the way they dress, that is wrong. Most will call others names because they are actually jealous of them. There is nothing wrong with being friends with a girly girl. The person has feelings and a heart just like you and me. If they don't like you for who you are inside, they are missing out. I don't think that young girls should wear skirts so short they have to feel they have to pull down to hide either. They need to be modest and not show anything.

I don't really care, as long as she doesn't go overboard with the girliness. For example... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I JUST BROKE A NAIL!!!!1111 I'd like a friend who doesn't care what they look like and care more about having fun.
But if the girl was a sweetie then I wouldn't care if she wore skirts. I'm not sure if I'd want to be close friends with the girls who wear wayyy excessive make-up. It makes me think that they're insecure with themselves, and I don't really like that trait in friends :)
Oh yeah and I get really annoyed when the girly-girls are boy-crazy.
But overall, I don't judge a person on how they dress.

I don't really judge people on the way they look or dress, but I have to admit that most of my female friends are tomboys like me. It's not that I don't like girly girls, it's just that I don't have much in common with them. I'd rather spend my time with people who I can talk about things that interest me as well as them, such as horses, four wheeling, trucks, muscle cars, etc.

I am girly girl myself (not the kind that wears dresses and skirts, but the type that hates to do anything tom boyish, like play sports and running and all that), so yes, I would want to be her friend as long as she doesn't try talking me into wearing dresses and skirts all the time.

Hello,
First I know that I am not a girl. Telling you the truth. But I was interested in answering your question.
There is different types of women out there and us men either like the ones that are feminate or we like ones that we can hang out like friends.
But that is not what you are asking.
I think the person you describe actually varies because although she maybe very feminate, her personality is what really would make the difference to your question. Although a woman could be very feminate, she could be either Stuck Up, Out Going, or even a best friend type. It really varies.
I knew woman to be both really stuck up and very feminate and then other women that would be very attentive to you and very feminate.
Depends on the individual themself.
Even the tomboyish girls can be stuck up, etc.
Get what I mean.
Just my thought.

well umm I'm a tom boy kinda chick and i personally think girly girls are fake cuz like for example who would spend all day in a mall wasting money? personally I'd rather spend a day in a garage working on cars but meh that's me =] But you know girly girl or not you can still look "lovely" without wearing makeup and nice shoes and cute skirts and nice tees....
there are MANY girly girls in my classes and to tell you the truth some of them are considered my friends even though i hang with guys.
but yah (no offence to any one who reads this)

It all depends. I wouldn't care how their style is, because I'm mostly accepting of anyone.
To me, it's mostly about their attitude about things.
If they're snotty and think they're better than everyone BECAUSE of their amount of money to buy their makeup/clothes, then I wouldn't really like her because she's like that.
But if she's a girly girl, and is still very nice, and all of those traits, then I'd be fine.
I know my sister is a girly girl, and is all-around nice. I love her, even though we're like complete opposites.
I'd say I can be one too sometimes.

Okay, you are stereotyping. Stereotyping is NOT a way to make friends, you know. I don't judge people by what they wear.
Oh, about the skirts, if they are Pentacostal they have to wear skirts, so it shouldn't make them a girly girl if they always wear skirts. My best friend is a Pentacostal...
