It is on the end of the transaxle housing, on the passenger side of the car. When looking down behind the engine on the passenger side, it is just to the right of the rear engine mount. The wiring harness to the crank position sensor splices into the wiring that runs to the VSS, under the rear exhaust manifold, follow the wiring with your hand and you will feel it. The sensor has an aluminum heat shield over it.

It is located on top of the transmission, on the passenger side . It is a pain to get to, but you can reach it from the top, just look down behind the motor. It points toward the driverside of the car, and is held in by a 11mm bolt.
