I guess the hope was he had outgrown his negative behavior.
But last night he showed he is still having public temper tantrum, and is a bully.
Hasn't he had too many chances? He is an anti-role model.
No sport, or team, is worth the terrible example he is - he is in fact a serious detriment and needs to go.
Your thoughts?

I don't care how successful he has been as a coach. As a human being he is a hall-of-fame-caliber LOSER.

I went to Texas Tech and I am ashamed of the way that this guy acts - talk about a poor sport. The little incident with the slap under the chin shows that he is a fit waiting to explode. I would rather that they lose games than put up with this hogwash from him. He is out of control and has been since they signed him on. I have never seen a public display like this that went unpunished by the school management. I have definitely had enough of Bobby - time to say goodnight, Knight, it's been a fright.

There are certain things you can do as a coach to get a players attention, hitting them in the face isn't one of the. I understand that the hit wasn't terribly hard, but it clearly hurt the player based off of his reaction when he sat down. Hitting a player in anger is violence, no matter how hard the hit. No coach should ever hit their players in violence and Bobby Knight should be fired. If he wasn't a good coach who wins games he would be gone. Clearly the Texas Tech Administration care more about winning basketball games than the manner in which the players are treated. I would be embarrassed to be a Texas Tech fan or student.

I think you need to start watching what all the experts on espn are saying, because half of them have been college basketball coaches themselves...

the A.D. had no problem w/ it, the kid had no problem w/ it, the kid's parents had no problem w/ it, let it go!

yeah, I have a problem with him grabbing a kid around the neck during a practice, yeah I have a problem with him head-butting a kid during a timeout coming all the way from the other end of the bench, and yeah I have a problem with him throwing a chair halfway across the free throw line....this is minor. nobody anywhere close to it had a problem with it, let it die.

either way though, I've had enough of Knight and all the talk about him.....he should retire and NOT break the wins record (except it doesn't matter because coach K's going to win 1100 games anyway)

I think the University of Texas Tech is regreting hiring him. Im sure the fans of T T are tired of him, as are basketball fans in general. Ive been a UNC fan all my life and while they have never been perfect, the coaches have always had the upmost class of any in basketball. its a shame a good coach like Knight has to be an idiot at times.
