Well last night when i was at my gym we were streching like normal. My trainer put me in the splits and he makes me stay there for 15 even 25 minutes in the splits... i can do it but its just to long. When it looks like i go up a bit from the ground my trainer comes and he pushes me down hard....i tell him to stop then he just pushes oh my leg harder. Now my upper thigh is all blue and purple... what can i do?

Registered Nurse here; First of all terminate your trainer. Believe me there are trainers out there without an attitude. Secondly you should NEVER have bruising associated with any type of training, this is a clear indication, your being pushed to far to fast. Soreness yes, bruising NO!, Apply ice for the first twenty four hours, then heat after that. Ice for the first twenty four hours to stop interstellar bleeding, which is what bruising is. Heat after twenty four hours, to facilitate your body to reabsorb the blood and extracellular fluid that was literally ruptured out of your cells. Now hopefully, you didn't tear a tendon, muscle, ligament, or do any other type of injury to your muscular/skeleton system. Ibuprofen is excellent for pain, plus it's a non-steroid anti inflammatory, which will assist greatly in the healing process. Providing you don't have any stomach problems. Take with food to decrease irritation of the stomach. If the soreness, discoloration or pain increases in your leg, I strongly recommend you go into your physician for an evaluation. Speedy recovery!

Go to the doctor or the Emergency room & have it checked properly. It could be a nasty bruise or a broken blood vessel. For now apply ice packs to reduce any swelling & keep it elevated with a pillow under your foot. Try to stay off your feet as much as possible. If the bruising shows signs of spreading or darkening get medical attention asap. When you've done all that find a new trainer..........

You may have severed a blood vessel. Muscles when damaged do not bruise. Have a doctor look at it, document and take pictures. If you have a witness , get a written record of what he or she heard.
Take note of the time location and people involved.
Reason?- If this injury results in long term physical damage and destroy your life, you better remember the exact details.
I hope I am wrong.
Get your parent to take you to the doctor. CLots can occur deep in the muscles

well first of all that is wrong. I had a ballet teacher that did that and a group of parents flipped out because she did it and injured a students tendon. She may have also done that to you. Go to the doctor tomorrow. As of right now put a heating pad on it for 15 minutes and then off for 15 minutes. do that back and forth. Feel better and have a parent talk to your coach- she could seriously hurt someone!!!

Switch gyms and do not train until your injury heals. If you keep training on it it'll make it worse, obviously. Go to a doctor and see what other things you need to do.

Something is creepy about what your trainer does. You better find an adult you can trust and tell them. He is physically abusing you!!!!!! Get help to stop him. Get a new trainer.

ICE AND HEAT EVERY 20 MIN DO ONE FIRST AND THEN THE OTHER FOR THE FIRST 2 DAYS. SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A PULLED MUSCLE. JUST DON'T PUSH IT FOR A FEW DAYS.
