you need to have a system so you'll able to see all your things.

try to sort all your things:

use boxes and label them as follows:
keep
donate
needs repair or mend
trash

if you're able to sort them out try to give the "keep things" a home
again you need to sort them like as follows:

school supplies
cloths
laundry
kitchen stuff
toiletries
cleaning stuff

and whatever things that you may have that needs to be categorized

hopefully you'll be able to see that once they're sorted, you need to put them back from you got them. so the next time you need that highlighter you'll know where it is.(not under your sheets or bed)

if you can see yourself repairing things or mending clothes then try to do it or you can always have it repaired by professionals. if not after a month and you still don't have time to check it. either trash it or donate it.

they said that any clothing that doesn't fit you or you haven't worn in 6 months toss it or donate it. it's a fact you'll never wear it again.

try making a to do list that you can accomplish in 15 minutes or less.

everyday assign 2 tasks that you can do in 15 minutes.
example: monday-clean the kitchen & vacuum the room
saturday: clean your backpack & sort your mails, shred all the junk mails. ( it's sensible to do this since you don't have regular classes on a sunday and you can start fresh on monday)

set your timer for 15 minutes and start cleaning and organizing.

i just hope i was able to give some help.

happy organizing.

Even if it means having a lot of containers, organize everything into these and always put things back right after use.

Take a course in how to 'pick-up'-stuff.
Or one in how to bend your back...or
One in how to not drop things on the floor..

But! in the end, you could be doomed...until you have your own
home.

Put it away as soon as you're done with it.
