Ok i was talking on the phone with my sister who is having her first child and her doctor asked her if she knew where to go to have the baby...so she thought it was a jk and she says "To the bar to have a quick drink and then the hospital"...i was LMAO so hard when she said that and then she said the doctor said really rude " no to the materinity ward at the hospital" like really what would you say if your doctor asked you this question?
Just to let you know she does not drink...never has either so dont think she is a drunk. lol

I have worked in healthcare and you would be amazed at how stupid people can be about childbirth....
There was a woman in my hometown who named her child "Placenta" because during labor she heard the word and thought it sounded pretty. I was mortified.
Maybe the doctor has had experiences with mothers in the past to lead him to believe that she actually didn't know the correct answer.... I'm sure he knows now that she was joking!

She's funny! But the doctors and ***...i proably would of tapped him lightly on the hand and said oh my gosh im sooo glad you reminded me...think how lost id been the day i went into labor if i couldnt find the maternity ward!!!! thatd made him shut his big pie hole! congratulations new auntie!!!

when i was pregnant with my first baby my doctor asked me the same thing. the reason they ask is because a lot of firt timers ro to the emergency room instead of the maternity ward. so the docs are required to ask. but he should not of been so rude, he needs to get himself some sence of humor.

if your sister is having her first child, why would the dr. ask a question if she knows to go to the hospital and the nurses can take care of where she needs to be at? that dr. is retarded for asking the question in the first place

I would say, umm... a hospital?? lol and ask if he recommends a hospital that I should go to and how soon in advance I should go incase I will have the baby.

I can't believe her doctor is treating her like she is slowwwwwww or something. I think I would be looking for a new doctor. One that respects me and that I can respect back because this guy is an idiot. I LOVED her response to him!

Obviously, if it is during sunlit hours, she would have to go to the golf course. You have to go where the doctors are. You can a drink at the 19th hole while you are waiting....
