the ethics of voting.?

if a question has gone to voting is it all right to vote for your own answer?

i have a couple of times, but i have also voted for someone else whose answer was better.

As you already know it really is not ethical to vote for your answer if someone else's was better. But if you truly believe yours was best, why not? But then you may be somewhat biased in you opinion.
