That person is a LATINO because portuguese is a Latin lenguage, same way with spanish and italian.
A Brazilian person cannot be Hispanic, because Hispanic people come frome countries whose lenguage is Spanish.

It dosent matter if you are Palestinian, Black, White, Yellow or Blue, you are still a Latino

Latinos are usually identified with an ethnic group. There is no Hispanic/Latino race but rather a group of people lumped together due ot their language and nationality. People probably would say you are Latino if you didn't tell them your family was from Palestine. However, I wouldn't because you have no biological connection with the Brazilians whose ancestors have been there for generations.

Doh explained the difference between Latinos and Hispanics.

I've wanted to visit Brazil, especially Bahia for a while. I always listen to Brazilian music although I don't understand anything being sung.

With exception to Brazil, the whole of Latin America speaks spanish as they were once colonized by Spain. The word hispanic refers to Spanish descendents, which does not apply to Brazilians, who were once colonized by the Portuguese. Both languages however derive from the Latin, hence the word Latino.
Brazilians are not "Hispanics" or "Latinos" as this particular country has a much mixed racial background (Europeans, Africans and Brazilian Indians, etc). And this is exactly what makes this country so unique and special. If you were born in Brazil, and would like to identify your ethnic origin in order to fill a form, just mark "other" and specify as "South American", because the world is yet to find a word for such wonderful blend of races and colours that is Brazil. What are you? A lucky guy.

I see them relatively one-of-a-kind however think it should nearly be semantics. Seems in my Spiritual lifestyles the imply the equal. Faith isn't wish to me, wish is wish. Faith is that I realize all is operating closer to my coming to Remembrance it doesn't matter what my Human checks is also or what it appears like. In my Human relationships, I could have a courting in which my "believe" has been damaged, & nonetheless eventually think about that man or woman figuring out inside they're the equal as me. Trust very regularly is a judgment established on beyond enjoy, theirs & mine. Faith is going a lot deeper, it has not anything to do with the mind however comes from the Wisdom of the Heart. A functional reward given to an additional, "I have entire religion in you" will very regularly aid to unlock the bonds of beyond errors. I think I won't have defined this good, the change is delicate. But this used to be a pleasant Q! You had me wondering this for two days. Many Blessings!

I am from Venezuela, and I use both.
Just like, you should use both because its really the same thing.

Although, and this one is just silly, a friend of mine, one from Peru, told me he would rather be called "Latino" becuase "Hispanic" has the word panic in it, and he's not scared. I don't know. It was pretty funny at the time.
