I've seen so many questions or answers on here so far that automatically label certain people as terrorists based upon their ethnic origin or religious background. So, in your opinion, what is a terrorist? Is a terrorist to you simply anyone who wears a turbin? Or maybe its the person next to you on the subway in a business suit reading the morning paper? Have you ever asked the IRA what a terrorist is? Have you pondered asking a Muslim what their idea of a terrorist is? Feel free to answer however you wish.

A terrorist is someone that is considered part of a counter-culture. You are considered part of a counter-culture if you oppose certain aspects of the dominant culture, whether it be through peaceful acts or violent ones. So, to answer your question, terrorists shouldn't all be generalized as wearing turbans or being Muslim, etc. There are many terrorists in this country that hold American passports and birth certificates.

Well, a terrorist is anyone who uses Terrorism. Terrorism is the act of using fear or terror to get recognized or accomplish a goal. To say that anyone wearing a Turban is a terrorist is quite racist. I suppose anyone of us could become a terrorist even if it is to an extremely small extent. Have you ever threatened to beat up someone if they didn't preform some certain task, to an extent that is terrorism, and most of us are guilty of it at one point in our life or another.

a terrorist can and is a person wearing a u.s. military uniform. a few examples of american terrorism includes the bombing of the al jazira building for holding different beliefs than the american way. another example is when the americans used white phosphorous on civilians. or the american bombings of bologna. theres a hundred more examples i can bring up but i cant be bothered.

To me, a terrorist is someone who consciously attacks civilian targets with enough force to cause widespread damage and injury or death, while pursuing a political agenda.

"Terror" is a state of intense fear, and "ist" usually implies the practice of a particular behavior.
So, basically to me, it means someone who practices terrorizing people to control them. It doesn't mention a color, religion or race.
