if you do this you better get it oked with the rental company and make sure your insurance will cover you in mexico. most of them use to not cover you in mexico so i would double check this.

Not through Enterprise. You can only stay in your state most of the times and under some contractual agreements, the US

Probably. Your best bet though is to drive to the border and walk over. Lot less b.s. to deal with. My friend and I did that.
