Here are the instructions. I hope that they work for you.
Uninstalling Internet Explorer 7
To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and restore Internet Explorer 6 when using Windows XP or Windows Server 2003
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
3. You might have to CHECK the box that says SHOW UPDATES
4. Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.
If you cannot find Internet Explorer 7 in Add or Remove Programs, click Start, click Run, type
%windir%\ie7 \spuninst\spuninst.exe
(I added a space after ie7 so the whole line would display)
and then press ENTER.
For more information, check this page at the Microsoft website. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/aa740486.aspx
If you have further trouble, you might try the RESTORE thing in the System Tools folder and go back a few days before you made this terrible mistake.
Good luck and Happy Computing

You don't have to UN-install any thing. check out Fire Fox and down load. I use it all the time for speed and safety . You are right IE .7 sux. However if you really want the IE 6 then do a google search type in Explorer 6 find the web sight that has the down load then download it. Then the old Explorer will be replaced with the older one.Take care....

Keep Explorer 7. The same thing happened to me but I kept sending error reports to Microsoft and eventualy things started happening in a possitive way. But if you want the 6 back, just go to where you got the 7, down below you will see Explorer download 6 and go from there FYI. It took about 3 days before 7 started to come alive on this computer.

go to ebay.com and get a copy of dos 6.22 and windows 3.1. if you want to go backwards, might as well go all the way!
you can go to add remove programs but why? internet explorer 6 sucks! they've been patching once a week for the last 4 years because it leaves you wide open to spyware and malware. leave it on there and download firefox if you hate it.

i exploit IE 7 without problems. examine your equipment standards to work out whether that's well suited. Uninstall an identical way you will possibly any application and IE will revert to the previous version. in case you meet equipment standards, after uninstalling, reinstall IE 7 and notice if the priority persists. If it does rfile it to Microsoft, as IE 7 is a Beta version.
