After alot of years alone God brought a guy into my life that for me would finally be "the one". I really resisted but this guy just kept on barging into my life and then sharing alot of his life with me. He gave me some of the best days of my life and I am grateful for having those memories. In spite of some things looking to me like maybe he feels the same way about me he says he just wants to be friends. I want to accept that and move on and believe this is all for the best. So does anyone out there have a similar story where it really was for the best and things worked out better because something they'd hoped for didn't work out?? I just want a little hope.

Yes, there is a plan for us, I believe..there are things for us to learn and people to learn them from..the guy was there to teach and learn and if he was meant to be your 'one' for life it would have happened..just have trust and faith as hard as it may be.

Yup. I was completely crazy for my best friend for what seemed like forever. I couldn't get over her and no guy or girl could take her place in my heart. Finally I moved on and found my current girlfriend, we've been in love ever since and I wouldn't change a thing. Try to move on, and if the first few people don't work out just try again. Things will work out as long as you make them work out.

My friend and I, let's call him Tom, were really close during the summer. He had so many walls built up that I spent hours and sleepless nights on the phone with him, trying to make him step out of his shell. When he did, he went with another girl who he's deeply in love with now. I've moved on to someone else, and I'm glad that things turned out the way it did because I was really considering having sex with this *****. If I had, then I would never have been able to forgive him for taking my virginity only for him to leave me high and dry for another girl. It was hard getting over it, and in the end I was just simply glad that things turned out the way it did. I'm happy that he found himself someone whom he "thinks" completes him. My prince charming is still out there and order will not be restored until we cross each other's paths. Cheer up girl, it is not the end of the world. People have been through worse. What don't kill ya can only make you stronger!

Hi Tracy, very deep question, and something i am sure ever human being has thought at one time or another,i would just about bet my life on it. Have never met anyone where everything went their way..In my life experience i have not realized certain things went the way they were suppose to till years down the road then something happens and your like wow i guess (something in your past) really did happen for the best..Something in my past wasn't realized till 15 years later, that what happened really was for the best..I had wondered about it for years and when i realized it was for the best i was so relieved..( geeez took long enough though lol ) I truly wish for you that it comes out the way you wish it to and for the best..Best of wishes to you Bye Deb

Like the ole' saying goes; it may be a blessing in disguise. I don't have a similar story to offer you but instead of an intimate relationship with this guy look at it this way, you have a really good friend & they are very, very hard to find. Good luck to you.

If it's not what you really want then letting it go is for the best. Keeping something you don't really want usually makes things worse and worse as time goes on, because the feeling that something is lacking grows stronger with each little additional irritation.

You have given a lot of circumstances, for someone else to say they had a similar story. The Bible teaches that "All things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose."

I have actually had a similar situation... we are now just friends and we are both are in great relationships now. There is someone for everyone out there, and if it is meant to be it will happen eventually but you can't push love.
