loading my own dvd on i-pod?

i have a dvd video how do i load it on my video ipod. please help

DVD shrink ( http://www.dvdshrink.org/what.html ) is a good dvd ripper, once you've ripped that, drag the file to you itunes library, then your set. good luck!
