Since our latest excuse for invading Iraq and murdering thousands upon thousands of innocent people is that we want to spread freedom and democracy, exactly what freedom have we spread?

I love the answer "they can vote. . ." So we butchered thousands of men, women and children, lost thousands of our own troops, and incited a civil war so Iraqis could have a right most Americans don't bother to exercise. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

The freedom to kill each other at will. Before the US invasion, Saddam Hussein kept that activity in check by making an example of killing whole villages that harbored assassins, and dissidents. Democracy shouldn't be wasted on those who have no capacity to understand and practice it.

Wow.. you are trying to make a point but you are going to get flooded with responces answering your question that the US gave Iraq many more opportunities and freedoms that they did not have before the invasion.
