WOW! This is harder to answer than I thought. I don't know about you, but I have been to so many great concerts over the past 10-12 years, since I turned 16.

#1 Allman Brothers Band (August '95) Jerry Garcia, of the Greatful Dead (obviously) had just passed away a few days before so many of the "Dead Heads" joined the Allman Brothers tour. The atmosphere was off the hook, and, in dedication to the Greatful Dead, the Allman Brothers broke off an old school 4 hour long jam. Words cannot do it justice. It was magical.

#2 Bruce Springteen and the E Street Band (2000, I believe) Long story short, it was like the 4th show of their tour, but it was the first show that the entire Sapranos cast attended (maybe the only one, I don't know) so either they went all out because of that or Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band give everything they've got every night. It was simply amazing!

#3 (tie) Gun's 'n Roses and Metallica (1992) and Pink Floyd (1994) I saw both shows at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The Pink Floyd show is still the largest crowd Arrowhead has ever held, which, if you know anything about Arrowhead, that is amazing.

Honorable Mentions: I saw Aerosmith, on campus, at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Il. It was about an 8,000 seat arena, and they rocked it like a bar!

Widespread Panic: I caught them on the opening night of their tour a while back. FREAKING AMAZING!

Hank Williams Jr: One of the greatest entertainers ever! Lets just say, I caught him on a SPECIAL night.

I'll leave you with that.

Holla!

Paul McCartney - Arco Arena, Sacramento, CA
Queensryche - Kelseyville, CA
David Bowie - HP Pavilion, San Jose, CA
Yes, Union Tour, Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, NV
The Cure - Arco Arena, Sacramento, CA
Neil Young, Completley acuoustic, The Aladdin, Las Vegas, NV
Depeche Mode, Shoreline, Mountain View, CA

Sorry, but it is hard to choose... McCartney was hands down awe inspiring and riviting... I would have left on cloud 9 even if he had walked out, played "Yesterday" on acoustic gutair and without the band, and left the stage. Thank goodness he played so much more...:) Music is the best thing going.
Too many to pick from

Pink Floyd -Texas Stadium
Metallica/Corrosion of Conformity- Smirnoff Ampitheater (Dallas)
Motley Crue - Hirsch Coliseum Shreveport,LA

Metallica/COC was a makeup date after James hurt his back (I think). The original show had Metallica without James, Jason sang some and they jammed with members of the other bands, including Kid Rock and Joe C. That was at Texas Stadium and also kicked ***. The makeup show was on James' birthday and he got a pie in the face onstage! Too cool!
