In windows xp, what is stored in C>documents and settings>local settings>Temp folder? can we deleate it?
i deleate temporary files by deleating browsing history by right clicking on IE and then from it, deleate.. but still there r some files i found in C>documents and settings>local settings>Temp folder
why? should i deleate it from there too? will it affect system?
plz answer me

Oh those are just temp files, nothing really to worry about...unless your afraid someone is gonna find traces of that porn you were looking at earlier lol jk. But just do disk clean up and have it clean up the temp internet folders, but dont delete by hand

Temp files are usually things you can delete, and this folder contains residue from installs, updates, etc. Here's something you can do to be sure you don't mess up your system. First, make a copy of the temp folder to some other place -- ex: c:\oopsie. Then, back in the temp folder, change the view to "details". Find the "date modified" column, and click it. This will sort the temp files by date. My recommendation would be not to delete the most recent files. Files that are a month old or older should be fine.

Delete away. Nothing of use in here, just temp. files from installations/webpages/etc.

i dont know about regular xp but i used xp professional and it has a program caled desktop cleanup which will erase all unneccessary files for u
