my sister's friend is a babysitter. she charges weekly $120 per child. you should check out your local day care center and ask how much they charge. try to charge less than them but try to keep it reasonable so you make good money. also check with your state laws cuz when you babysit you can only babysit so many kids at once in the same household.

Depends on how many. I usually start at 5 dollars an hour, (more if they're trouble or infants) and add 2$ for every other kid. Also, if you are going to be doing chores there, (like cleaning up their rooms or anything, which you are sometimes asked to do) you can charge extra. Good luck!

Here is it about $5 and hour and then add more per kid. I know some people who pay about $10 and hour for 3 kids. I have 2 and usually pay 5-6 an hour. The thing is this.....parents want to go out, you want to make $ - if you are reasonable you will get more calls and make more $ cuz the parents will go out more. I know you say you are in a rich neighborhood......but for us it is a challenge to go out. $50+ for dinner, $15+ for a movie and if we are gone for 3-4 hours. Say $30-35 for a sitter. That is expensive when you add it all up.

I think you should charge by the job if it's more than 3 hours you'll be watching the kids. It also depends on the age of the child you'll be watching over at the time and till how long at night the parents will be away. If it's just after school charge less but if it's later at night charge a little more. And also ask the parents what they think your worth and negotiate with them

i dont know, but if i ever baby sit, i would charge at least $30 an hour cause that is how much i would make if i was working....i would be making $60 if i was full time. Plus, i get 10% commision, so i wouldnt trade my job

it depends on how many kids you baby sit. if its 1-2, maybe $5-7 dollars per hour. If it's 3+, say around eight dollars.

My daughter is 13 and she charges roughly $5.00 hr. for 2 kids.
This isn't not an uncommon rate, but can be flexible.

well your best bet is to charge by kid, id say around 5-7$ an hour per kid, and maybe up it a lil depending on the circumstances and the children
and if there is only one child i would raise it slightly so you arent getting shorted
