You should have your doctor check it out. Your milk supply decreases as your infant nurses less and less, the milk does not actually "dry-up". You may have a clogged milk duct, which is usually painful, and can progress to mastitis (infection), where you would possibly be having fever, malaise (general feeling of illness), and redness, warmth & tenderness of the affected breast. If you have mastitis you will probably need antibiotics. If you cannot see an MD soon, you can take a diaper and saturate it with hot water, and then apply as a heat-pack to the breast and that may help. Nursing your infant using different positions can help as well. Regardless of the cause, you always want to have lumps checked out by your doctor!

A lot of women experience this. Most of the time it's nothing, just a milk duct drying up which can cause a lump. It could also be a clogged pore, they do feel like a lump. Keep an eye on it, and if it doesn't go away in a month then get it checked out, if you want to wait that long. Whatever you do, don't take no for an answer. If you feel that something is wrong than have it checked out ASAP. Women's intuition always counts for something. Hope all goes well, and don't be afraid to demand to be seen by your doctor.

It could be. My best friend had the same problem after she stopped breast feeding. Her OBGYN ordered a mammogram just to make sure the lump wasn't anything. Her mammogram came back clear. You just need to make an appointment with your OBGYN.

I had the same thing happen when I finished nursing my daughter. My gynocologist sent me for a mammogram as a safety precaution. The lump was nothing, but it took several months for it to go away.

It could be a mammary gland that isn't quite dried up but, never assume anything with your breast. When you see the Dr. or if not real soon, call them and see what they say. Good luck.

it is probably a clogged milk duct.
Put some hot packs on it. Watch it, if it gets infected or the skin feels warm in the area you need to get yourself to the doctor asap

I am sorry, are you kidding, how old are you, hadn't anyone tell you anything about your body or the female human body? But if you are serious about that lump in your breast, consult with a doctor as soon as possible.

With you just stopping breastfeeding it could be anything, I mean your hormones are wonky, but I would definitely get it checked.

It could be. I'd advise you to contact your gyn dr. and let her/him check it out, though, just to be on the safe side.
