What do you mean "our media?" It's not only here in the US. This is the same advertising used throughout the WORLD! Do you think that only Americans are allowed to be vain? Yeah, right!
I know it perpetuates stereotypes and enforces a shallow, superficial image, but when you get down to the bottom of it, they're making money. That's all they give a crap about. And the world does not operate without money. Sad, but true...

People marketing products will stoop lower than low for the money. It is not even a question of competition. It is basically a crime against man. The media sells the space, but their clients conjure up the grossness.

Because this world is spinning out of control and leaning more toward evil, I think we are in our end days or very close to it, only God knows when, but we see society being pushed far more towards evil, and bad, people choose to follow satan, knowingly or not, because you have to follow God, or you are following evil, and people simply don't care, or choose not to understand the truth, especially when God has put it right before our eyes, lift your veil, and don't walk in darkness. Then spread Gods light, so others won't be in the dark.

The people who own media are doing it intentionally. But i will say this. You're right. It's not you. It is really, really bad.

its degrading because Americans are not 'nice'. ever heard the term 'ugly-American'? it was coined by the Europeans.
