i basically want to wire the bike straight from the magneto to the kill switch and then to the coil, rite? oh it's a 1981 xr500 honda dirt bike

That is a 4 stroke bike, does it even have a magneto? And the battery does have allot to do with if its a 4 stroke wired for a battery

There is special stuff in the bike made for charging the battery and then drawing power for the spark and everything from that battery . If you remove the battery wouldn't that create excessive draw on the stator? and burn it out?? Or maybe the stator is furnishing more then the 6 or 12 volts needed to keep the battery at the proper voltage and burn out the rest of the electrical?? I mean it takes 14 volts or there about to keep 12 steady volts in a car battery.. Something I would check on before screwing with it

Yea, what "gdwrnch40" said. The battery is just to operate the lights. The battery has nothing to do with the ignition.

You should be able to take the battery out without rewiring anything.
