I was forwarded an article about a certain Asian who filed a federal lawsuit against a private institution over "unfair" advantages afforded to blacks and hispanics.

I had 99% Math, 98% Verbal scores, score all SAT II's 95% plus I made it to city finals in Track and Field and Cross Country, was president of the Engineering club and volunteered and tutored. If anything from such bad public schools, that alone warrants extra points.

Although I didnt have perfect SATs, most Asians I know dont have any strong sports records and show little or no community involvement.

I think that Asians hate the fact that colleges consider extracurriculars and use affirmative action as a lightning rod.

No Asians challenge affirmative action more so than you think. They think it unfairly favor blacks. I am pretty sure they are too familiar with the 300 years of slavery blacks had to endure.

Don't asians benefit from affirmative action? Affirmative action would probably go away in 60 years or so.

I am fairly sure that you are just using this site as a venting place. I don't discriminate against YOU, so why the f*ck are you saying sh*t and GENERALIZING about my people? We're very goal-oriented and do more community service than you think. In fact, my friends all have 40-100 hours of community service when they only need forty to graduate. My friends ALSO tutor and volunteer at schools, and they're presidents of SEVERAL clubs. Now, I realize that you're b*tchy because you think we're somehow AGAINST you, but trust me.. we're cynical, so we don't have time to worry about other people, okay? Bottom line, we don't give a crap about you. You can have all those credentials, but it doesn't mean much if you're from a bad school. Don't get pissed at us just because of one person.
And a "strong sports record" is subjective. Is tennis better than badminton? Is track better than basketball? So, because you're supposedly this great track star, you're better? Well, if we're going this route, I'm Asian, and I'm a wrestler. So f*ck you.

As an Asian, you are more likely to study hard and try to get into school. It may seem stereotypical, but statistics don't lie, Asians are well overrepresented in most major colleges and Universities.

While I am and Asian, my dislike for affirmative action is based mostly on common sense. I dislike the concept of affirmative action, as it attempts to fix this "over or underrepresentation" by favoring one group over another. This discrimination, however noble, results in people awarded or punished for the color of their skin.

I never heard that have a problem with affirmative action. I know that affirmative action was first created to help Caucasian or American women.

Still trying to figure out why middle class black kids need affirmative action, and white kids from the trailer park need to just go get a job changing oil.
