Theo was a waste of money. $5.5 million for a goalie who's biggest selling point is that he's consistent in the playoffs is NOT worth it.

I thought Aebi was good. He had a slump. So what? All goalies have slumps.

The difference between he and Theo is that Theo won awards and has been EXPECTED to rise above the occasion. I haven't seen Theo rise above the occasion consistently. Nothing was expected of Aebi after Roy retired and look how well he played the following season. He really kept the team together.

Goalies are the last line of defense. If the D isn't playing stellar, the goalie better be on his game. So, the argument I keep hearing from Theo lovers is that it's the D's fault. No, it's Theo's fault, too.

It's not our fault that he's making so much money, but if the team is intent on resigning him, I don't want to see him making the same salary.

Bottom line? I say, let's trade him before things get worse. That's just my opinion, however.

Without Bourque and Foote and Blake the Avs will never be the same defensively. You cant blame Theodore for their inconsistant play. Though he has never been as good as his rookie year he is far better than the average goalie. Give Budaj another year and he will be the real leader in the pipes.. love his style!
