You're going to blow a circut if you use a charger with a higher voltage, pony up and buy a new charger.

You will be doing a big mistake!!!! The battery could explode, if not properly charged with the correct voltage. You might as well buy another charger. Don't risk it!!! The PSP is an expensive piece of hardware!!

I don't suggest you do that...i had done that with my personal dvd player...and all i ended up doing was frying my battery in my personal dvd player b/c the voltage was to high...so just go to Radio shack or where ever you bought the PSP and ask if they have extras or you can just buy something else to charge it with!!
