Ok so since i'm a little short on cash I decided to download some songs from limewire. Since my ipod is my default audio system they all went into itunes. However they're there as shared files and won't go into my library. How can I make them go into my library and eventually onto my ipod so I can actually listen to them on the run?

Have both limewire and iTunes open at the same time. Click once to highlight the song you want in Limewire. Then click again on it but don't let go, drag the song over to iTunes LIBRARY. Then it should go to your iPod.

Well I don't use limewire myself I use the older version of bearshare. But from your question i'm guessing that if they won't go into your library the songs you are downloading from limewire are either in the wrong type of format? Or are encoded with an anti-share kind of thing. Most likley it is the type of format if it won't play in your itunes library. Becuase if you drag your file into itunes usually they should play. So I recommend you go on google and search for( on google) " mp3 ( or whatever format your songs from limewire are) converter WAV. Make sure all the songs you download are in the WAV format. If they aren't in the WAV format they won't play or transfer. so you should check to make sure all your donloaded music is a WAV file. so find a free converter online and convert it. If this isn't the case and it is encoded. then go to http://jamesholden.net/fairuse4wm-download/ and get the code off. But most likley that is illegal. but feel free to do it if you want. Once you get them on your library and they arent encoded and are in the WAV format ( convert to WAV if they aren't after you decode them.) you shoudl beable to transfer them by dragging them onto your ipod. Good luck! i hope i didn't confuse you or anything! if I answered the question wrong feel free to email me and I will try to help you further. I recommend you use the old version of bearshare if you want to download music like that. go here for the old version of bearshare. http://www.oldapps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329 when i used the old version of bearshare it automatically made them not have encoding as well as in the WAV format from what I can remember. I hope i answered your question

ok.... open iTunes and go File--> Add to Library...then simply find where you saved the downloaded songs (if you have a PC they're most likely in Program Files) select the songs you would like to be in iTunes and hit OK....Good to go
