A cord Of hard wood if you live in Canada. Will cost you around $ 200 to $250. For hardwood which is what you need to burn. Do not burn soft wood, it causes to much creosote in your chimney, if this is allowed to build up , will cause a chimney fire.

I enjoy cutting firewood with the help of my teenagers, but at the same time it is a lot of work and skill to become efficient. That said, the cutting, hauling, splitting for "friendly use," delivery and stacking (sometimes 40 or more miles away is easily worth $200 a cord from any real business plan. Also, do not forget wear on saws and vehicles. Many charge less because they know they can do the work, but anyone who does so in the long term really has not taken into account the total cost of the business. Further, most realize that firewood is a black market commodity; add tax into the equation and one really begins to understand the real value of the product. Typically, the full process to final stacking for a cord requires about 15-20 man-hours; give or take.

Usually depending on where you live but around 130 dollars..Best thing to do is get a friend that can go to local public land with a chainsaw and go to the office of the public land and there is a minor charge of a few dollars per tree to cut and remove the tree ..If you have someone with a pickup and a chainsaw and time , you can have many many cords for a little of nothing.
