he physically, mentally and verbally abused me. he also cheated on me. so why cant i get over my Exbf? and why cant i find a good man?

It could be that your own self esteem and self confidence and self worth went down the drain. He may have had you convinced that no one else would have you.Could be that you are still thinking the way he trained you to think.
Do good things for yourself. Retrain yourself to be a happy confident person. I don't know why, but we often keep choosing the same type of personality, so try some counseling before you try again. Good Luck!!

Its because you dont respect yourself enough. Unfortunately you dont believe and I mean REALLY BELIEVE that you can find better. You have to make yourself know that you deserve better and WILL NOT tolerate treated like less than you deserve, any human deserves. You can and will find someone who loves you for you and only you. I wish you the best, but dont leave or forget him on the pretense of finding someone else, leave so that you can find yourself.

because you probley hoped for him to change and he never did. You might have fought to keep you two together but my friend. Its so hard to get over someone that you loved. I know from experience you just have to forget about him and find someone new. Cheaters hurt your feelings horribly and those feelings are hard to let go too

honestly, i think it's habit. i did the same thing before.( just no abuse. i still liked a guy because it was a habit for me) you just need to find someone out there who really appreciates you and forget about him.
