Lot of people confuse love and romance. Romance only lasts for a very SHORT period of time which is romantic love, love is when you care for the person and always work out problems, never cheat, lie, there is trust. Love is when he/she is your best friend, your everything, your councelor, your therapist, etc. Always tell her/him about your day w/ no secrets. Romantic love comes and goes depending on lots of things. Like you meet the person you may experience romantic love for couple months you may then love them but not be "IN LOVE" with them

True love is a rare and beautiful thing. True love means loving a person no matter what happens, even if you go your seperate ways. Knowing you'll do anything to see them happy, not nesscaryily dying for them...its a little hard to explain unless it happens to you. The only way you can really know is once it truly happens to you and when you look back you can say it wasn't just love...it was true love-soul mates.

Stay engaged for a year, and don't copulate with her during this time. If at the end of the engagement:
you still believe that you are in love and want to marry
you haven't copulated with another person
and she hasn't revealed that she is immoral, or otherwise completely different person than what you though she was, then chances are that it is the real thing.
Of course, the probability of you doing this is low, so I'm afraid that you will have to find out the hard way, inspite of any other answers you may get. God bless you and your loved one.

the thing is you DON'T that's why you take a risk. if that risk is worth taking. you'll never know if it's true love. love comes and goes it peaks and bottoms it's a cycle in my experience, you have to work on it always to keep it alive but if you can stay in love for a life time then maybe it is.

a lot of people say " i would die for them" but the real test is would you live for them. it's easy to die for some one its over quickly. but if u can live for some one(spend ur whole life with them) then that's love.
