about 5 years i have one currently and had one when i was 5 that had babies even thought thestore said it was a boy it was a girl and had babies

a GUINEA pig lives for about 6 or 7 years.
((mine is in my lap. he sweakes approval of my answer.))
the highest is about 10 years

i found a wesite that told all about those lil furry creatures..hamsters gerbils,guinea pigs..type in guinea pig on ur pc and search web..i think it was around 4 years..and birds lived the longest..gl

We had one that lived for 7 years. I guess that is a long time.
