Does it affect sperm quality when one has sex in very warm water? I mean, in bath water? And can soap etc. get inside and after ejaculation and destroy the sperm?

I'm amazed by what people think about sperm.....LOL

The easiest way to answer is that it doesn't help you if you are trying to get pregnant BUT it doesn't keep you from getting pregnant.

The possibility of water getting inside during sex is probable and is not conducive to sperm. It can kill sperm. So can soap. A hot bath doesn't help the quality of sperm either. The semen is deposited inside the woman so there is a chance none of the sperm come into contact with water or soap.

Heat is also not good for sperm--that is why men store them away from the body.

Bathing in hot water can affect sperm production and quality, since sperm can only survive in a limited range of temperature. Some water can get inside during the act and can cause infections.

Sperm, as far as I know does not survive in water. The sperm of any living thing, including humans become inactive soon after contact with water, more so with warm water, I should think.

In reality soap doesnt destroy sperm.. It makes spermatozoids to move faster (as the natural pH from woman is rised) What slows it down is the chemical used for water purify - chlorine..

Err, why in very warm water?
Very warm water will kill sperm before it gets to you, so forget about soap!

Yeap, Anything outside the normal temperature of the human body will cause sperm to degrade....NO, hot baths are not a form of contraception, but it doesn't help the process either...

it's best for a guy not to be in the warm/hot water if you're trying to conceive, because the heat will reduce the sperm count.

I've been told that water is not too sperm friendly. And yes, soap can still enter your vagina/urethra & cause yeast or other infections.
