Humour is subjective, and nobody likes everything.

The appeal of Robin Williams is his often impromptu comedy, and the fact he can draw a LOT of ideas together in quick succession. He is a master of improvisation, as can be seen when anyone tries to interview him. ("Tries" is the operative word - it is a master interviewer that can keep him on track.) I get the impression he is intelligent, if not very well read.

If you don't like Robin Williams, then that is your perogative. It's not like we can twist your arm to make you like anything...

(If you want to really laugh, watch one of his routines and then think about what they would have been like when he was a cocaine addict...)

Believe it or not, he used to be very funny. In the 70s when he was a stand up comic, he was one of the best. Once he got into the movies, he made some really bad choices.

Oddly, some of his best movies were comedy - dramas. He was amazing in Good Morning Vietnam & Patch Adams.

I think we can all agree to forget movies like RV.

A lot of people seem to equate talking really fast with being really funny. There's no accounting for taste.
