If an asteriod big enough to destroy the planet was only 3 days out, you wouldn't need to be told, you could see it. It would take a massive object to destroy the planet Earth but something much smaller could wipe out most life on Earth, like the one 65 million years ago that ended the dinosaurs. If that smaller object were coming, about all you could do is place your head between your knees and kiss your azz goodbye.

i would do everything i ever wanted to do and never had the courage. then i would die. unvoluntarily. ya know. cause of the asteroid. which would be painful, i expect.

I would call up the president and tell him to launch every nuke we had at the asteroid in hopes of either deflecting it enough so that it misses earth, or to blow it to bits small enough that it wouldn't be a threat.
