Children's schools usually have a family waiting to be adopted for Christmas time. You could also try charities to get involved in Adopt -A-Family program. If you do some web searches for your cities, or call around there's plenty of families waiting to be adopted. You could even try homeless shelters for women and children. There may even be a child in the hospital whose family is financially strapped for cash, and could use help.

That is a very thoughtful thing you are doing.
I know in my area alot of churches help families out at Christmas time.
Why don't you call around and see if one of the churches in your local community can hook you up with a family in need. They can be the go between so you can remain totally anonomyous if you want.

Your pastor is sure to know a family in need.
Years ago when I was a single mom someone picked my kids and I to share with. They brought gifts for my kids and even lotions and bubble bath for me as well as groceries and a bit of cash. What a blessing that was to this tired out single mom!! Instead of cardboard boxes, they brought stuff in laundry baskets. Everyone can use a few new laundry baskets! They brought chips and pop, not just soup and spaghetti sauce. It was so nice to have treats for my kids.
They got my name from my pastor.

I was going to say Operation Shoebox, but that's a kid in another country.
You could try Goodwill or Salvation Army? Perhaps a church would be a better idea though, if you don't already know a family you can give to.

Check with your local schools or churches. They usually are in contact with either neighborhood families or parishioners who are going through hard financial times. I am glad to hear that people still have such big hearts to give selfishlessly to those in need. It warms my heart! God Bless!

I would maybe check for organizations that take in battered women and children- where you can drop donations- They usually have to get out with little possessions and they are so grateful when they things they had to leave behind..
