I have a 2 stroke dirtbike, and quite a bit of fuel left, and the thing that came to mind for the winter is adding fuel stabilizer to it. My question is is it safe to add fuel stabilizer to it considering it has oil mixed with it? Any input is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

It is not only safe, it is mandatory if you want to ever use the fuel again. It's better to just put it in your vehicle and burn it up, assuming you just have a couple gallons left. You can use Sta-bil, but Seafoam is better because it will also keep moisture out of the gas. I've used both for 26 years in our commercial mowers, weedwhips, blowers, etc.

There's no reason to waste the money on fuel stabilizer if all you're doing is storing over the winter. With the 2 stroke oil mixed in the gas, it won't seperate in a few months. It takes years for gas to seperate to the point where it won't fire. Best thing for you to do is top off the tank and maybe add a bottle of HEAT to keep the condensation away from the inside of your fuel tank.

It should be fine to do this. Just read the label and follow the directions. There are even some stabilizers specifically for mixed gas 2 stroke engines. Go to a small engine shop; they should have what you need there. You may pay a little more but using the right stuff is cheaper than a new motor.

Premixed Gas And Oil

If you have used a name brand 2 stroke oil it already has fuel stabilizer in it and shouldn't need to do anything else to it over the winter months. It will keep the fuel okay until spring with no trouble.

Won't hurt a thing, although, I would recommend draining the tank and run the bike until it dies to clear the fuel lines and carb.
