my family is going 2 b getting a labtop 4 christmas do u have any sugestions on what brand 2 get that is not any more than $1000

Dell has the Inspiron E1505 and E1405 and they rock. E1505 is rock solid but wait till Dell puts up another sale on it and you will be able to configure it right under 1000.

Alienware and Dell XPS are abit too pricey IMO. Unless you are a hardcore gamer I wouldnt suggest getting XPS or Alienware. Though they are good but you wont be able to configure one for under 1000.

well u can buy acer , they have much better performence and there pricess are also less, so u can just go to www.acer.com and select the laptop that fits ur needs, good luck

well alienware or dell xps is great! but idk about your pricerange, go to ibuypower.com and you can just pick out the parts, and they will build it for you. they give good discriptions of products too. good luck -George
