I think it's bulls*** and I'd rather buy a (now $300) XBOX 360 'cuz it still has the next Sonic game.

I knew about the Blu-ray player but thanks to everyone for telling me that it's $1000 while the PS3 is $500-$600, but I am DEFINATELY getting a Nintendo Wii.

I do agree with u that it is high, but it is a reasonable price. the only reason why the price is so high is because of the blu-ray disc drive. A blu-ray disc drive alone costs $1000. Plus its like owning a mini computer with all the different types of new technologies no it. So thats why the PS3 is priced the way it is.

I personally support the PS3, but don't lose me. Please read my paragraph explaining why. I hope this changes the bias that you are getting from other gamers.

Srry if this sounds awkward at points for meh grammer.

Price = 600
but, that is for the expensive one. The Xbox 360 (premium) costs $400, and the Wii (only version thus far) $250 ($650). This is not including controllers where the Wii is going to have $60 remotes, not including the add ons for the remotes, and online costs of the 360 (which is pretty much the whole system). Meh, I can live without rumble, the PS3 focuses on quick load times and multimedia capabilities. To replace one feature (rumble) is not a big issue. I like the old games. I don't want to get a game that is just a spinoff. Remember that the blue ray component costs $1000 alone. That means that they got people in Asia that are working in video game sweat shops so we don't complain about $600, us stupid, ungratefull Americans...

I do think that the Wii is a fun system, but I don't think it is going to be so much cheaper thanks to the outrageous controller costs. I myself am getting a PS3 and a Wii.

Yes and no. Yes because of the competitors prices and no because of its capabilities. Just remember it has a blu ray player and they run about $1000 for a good one.

No, they are not overcharging, however hard it is to understand that.Im not saying that im getting one anytime soon, but is a extremely cheap Blu -Ray. And by the way, Sonic sucks.

I think it is too expensive for me personally. But I don't need all the things that it offers. I only bought my own PS2 a couple months ago. I'm just interested in good gameplay. You can only take good graphics so far until they just can't do any better. When it goes down in like ... 3 years, maybe I'll buy one. :)

Yes, SONY is ripping the public off. Can you wait until the price goes down? Impatience is a great ally for them...
