A couple of weeks ago i noticed that there was this white clumpy layer covering my little bowls. When I noticed it the first time I thought it was the glass rocks I'd put in the bowls so I cleaned it up and took the rocks out. Today I noticed that one of my betta bowels has the film again. What is this film and how can i get rid of it for good?!

It can be caused from the bubbles that the betta blow to make an egg catcher for the female so the eggs can be contained before they hatch. They do this with or without a female in the tank. Anything else just use a little table salt in the water and in a few days it will clear. No more than a pinch a day for three days. Always works well.

you may attempt including a small pump and airstone to assist airate the water extra, and feed a lot less. they ought to get about 3-4 pellets an afternoon. My sons a million gallon tank with beta replaced into continually like this too, we did 0.5 water adjustments by cupping out the water each and every 2 weeks and used a pair drops of a dechlorinator said as best you may purchase it at petsmart not petco. i imagine the movie may even ought to do with the male betas making a bubble nest to mate. solid success
