I sometimes ask parenting questions because many other parents give good answers. I'm a new mom, and none of my friends have kids yet so sometimes I need some advice when it doesn't really warrant calling my son's doctor. Of course, there are tons of stupid people on the internet so I take a lot of advice with a grain of salt.
The medical questions...I don't know. Most of the time people just need to go to their doctor and not be online.

I agree that a bunch of anonymous strangers isn't the best source of advice, but it certainly beats some of the other questions that are being asked in this category. There is a certain time of day that I just stop reading here because most everything is really stupid and often vile.

Ay first I thought you were referring to questions being asked in an inappropriate category, then I realized yours is not in the correct category either. Medical questions belong in the Health category. I can't think off hand where parenting questions should go but there is a place for them. None of them, including yours belong in the Entertainment section.

I agree, i think they ask because it gives them some support and another opinion. I dont beleive that people actually wait for an answer from here to determine whether they take there child to the doc or not. I dont believe people are that dumb. I think it just helps having other people talk to them about there problems.

Because they want the advice of other adults. They/we are not asking children or teenagers to give their sarcastic answers, we're asking like-minded individuals to give opinions! Not professional medical advice or child psychology! This forum is a great place for those in need of a bit of comfort....from those willing to give it.
Lighten up and mind your own business.

DO YOU PAY YOUR OWN DOCTOR BILLS? PLUS IT MIGHT NOT BE UNTIL THE NEXT DAY THAT THEY CAN GO TO THE DOC, SO TO SAVE TIME, DEAL WITH AN EMERGENCY, ETC..., THEY ASK US. PARENTING, PROBABLY BECAUSE THEY'RE OUT OF IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO OR FACING A SITUATION THAT THEY HAVEN'T THE FOGGIEST ABOUT. EVERYBODY LIEKS FREE STUFF! GOD BLESS

I think it is because sometimes you just want to get advice from other regular people as well as professionals.

Why do people ask "Why do people ask medical questions and parenting questions on here?" questions on here?

Well... i guess because it's nice to hear other's opinions on certain things. Especially when you don't just want facts... for instance, when you want to hear life experiences.
