He can ask for parole then, but it's unlikely he'll get it. He will only ever be released on licence, and can be recalled to prison at any time. The authorites will make certain he no longer poses a threat. He can't be repatriated, because he's a British citizen. EDIT: Dorothy - how does 9 years equate to just over 2 years per victim? Do you even know what his crimes were and who the victims were? And, before you accuse me of defending him, let me put on record that I'm delighted that this dangerous lunatic has been prevented from spreading his evil ideology of hate, and that he'll be in prison for a long, long time. EDIT: And who are these 4 victims, Dorothy? You haven't a clue what he was convicted for, have you? I can divide 9 by 4, but you seem to think he was convicted of crimes against 4 different victims! Absolutely clueless!

They have totally different meanings. Illegible means it something can't be read, proabably because it's written sloppy. Eligible means you meet all the qualifications for something. e.g. "Although he was eligible to enter the prize drawing, his illegible handwriting couldn't be read by the judges."

I don't understand this concept myself.Munir Farooqi should be kept away for other Muslim prisoners as he is a danger to them or maybe a hero to them and the only time he should be considered for parole,if ever,is when he and his brood are ready to be deported. Israr Malik,a common criminal should also have the same treatment and as for Newton, why has he been not charged with treason or is it of the law books now,if so it should be re-instated,traitor. Am I the only one disgusted with the political powers in this country and other western countries which allow manic clerics and radicalised Muslims the time of day,a potential enemy has a fifth column in all western countries yet no one wants to deal with it as a security problem,God spare us from liberals and idiots.
