The doctor I work for treats tennis elbow quite a bit. A lot depends on the actual problem. He does a procedure sometimes called

Ultrasound Guided Per-cutaneous Tenotomy

followed by intense physical therapy and usually within 1-2 weeks the patients are reporting excellent progress and within 4 weeks are back to normal.

I did experience drainage, but since I was a little overweight, I had a little overhang at the area of incision, which I think caused it to not drain as well so the dr. had to open it back up (Icky!) I used a pillow held against my stomach to sleep and to move. I slept on my side, which is normal for me. Rolling over was really hard - luckily I had a day bed and could use the bars on the side to help me. I didn't have staples. They used disappearing thread that was gone in just a few days, so I can't tell you anything about that, other than somehow your skin heals pretty quickly. I started feeling better in about five days, and after about ten days I felt fairly normal as long as I took it really easy - no lifting, no twisting, no long periods of standing or sudden movements. At a month, I think all pain was gone. After two years, I still have a little bit of burning/tingling in the area when I push a little on it. Pretty numb in some places too, and the OB said that was normal. I want to add that the c-section was my second child, and it was unexpected as well. My first I delivered vaginally after an induction and a severe episiotomy. Let me just say that I would take the c-section over that experience (at least you don't sit on your incision!) My stomach hurt then too, and felt like dead weight. I walked around holding it in with my hands! Listen to your doctor and your body. If you overdo it, it will take longer to heal. I know it's hard, and I can't imagine it with twins, but this time will soon be over, and your body won't be such a bother.

I had a cortisone shot 5 weeks ago, my elbow felt fine for 3 weeks but then my elbow pain came roaring back worse than before the injection. I have been using this tennis elbow secrets program now for 5 days and my elbow feels much better. I can really feel my arm getting stronger as each day passes.

Cure Tennis Elbow?

Surgery is the last resort for incurable tennis elbows. You can try physiotherapy or get a steroid shot first plus antiinflammatory agents. If you got this from tennis, you may want to address your backhand stroke. This is the usual cause if executed improperly. Ask a tennis pro for the correct motion.
